As a passionate Korean filmmaker and photographer based in Los Angeles, I strive to bring authentic and emotionally grounded narratives to life.

 After graduating from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea, with a degree in Film, Television, and Multimedia, I built a strong foundation in directing, editing, and cinematography. I began my career in the K-pop industry, an environment where new artists and identities are constantly being created and shaped. While working closely with artists, I became increasingly interested in the personal narratives that exist beneath the glamorous images presented to the public, particularly those of female artists both in front of camera and behind the camera.

 I was especially drawn to the way K-pop constructs and promotes certain ideals of femininity—ideals that often felt very different from my own experience of being a woman. This contrast led me to become more curious about how women define themselves beyond the images, expectations, and fantasies created around them.

 At Chapman University in California, I further developed my voice as a filmmaker, focusing on stories that center women, minorities, and people whose experiences are often overlooked or simplified on screen. My work seeks to capture the realness of everyday life and the complexity of individual identity, portraying genuine human experiences rather than idealized fantasies.
